HEAL (Harmony Emerging as Love) provides a unique opportunity for singers to experience the personal and shared transformative power of music in vocal ensembles that go beyond just singing. Through the collective act of creating beautiful harmonies, we engage in a process that fosters personal growth, healing, and connection with others.
HEAL welcomes singers of all skill levels and backgrounds. Every voice, whether beginning or advanced, is a valuable contribution, and each voice is both nurtured and challenged. The wonderful diversity of talent and experience within our ensembles create a rich musical tapestry, showcasing our beauty in collective singing. Our rehearsals are designed to be engaging and supportive. Singers benefit from a collaborative and encouraging environment where they can grow their vocal skills, refine their harmonization abilities, and explore the emotional depth of the chosen songs.
HEAL's repertoire encompasses a wide range of musical genres, from traditional sacred and secular choral pieces to contemporary songs. Each ensemble may focus on a particular genre or theme that varies each season and is thoughtfully selected to reflect our essence of love, joy, and transformation.

HEAL Glee Club for Girls
Recommended for Girls Ages 11+
HEAL Glee Club is a singing ensemble AND a support group specifically designed for girls, where the power of music intertwines with personal growth and empowerment. In addition to harmonizing our voices while learning fun and uplifting music together, our rehearsal model fosters confidence and camaraderie in a nurturing environment. Girls are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and shine fully while singing music and lyrics with a positive message. Thanks to our friends at Music to My Ears, our Summer 2023 Season includes a showcase at their newly refreshed theater (Previously Main Stage West) where Glee Club will be featured performers!

HEAL Flash Mob Choir Novato
Adult Community Choir (18+)
HEAL Flash Mob Choir creates a unique and unforgettable experience for both singers and unsuspecting audiences! Singers of all levels are welcome and reading music is not required - sheet music and practice tracks are provided to support learning and preparation. During four concise rehearsals, singers will have the opportunity to memorize and choreograph three songs that will be performed Flash Mob-style in public in Novato. The limited set list allows for ample repetition and memorization within the rehearsal period, ensuring that all participants feel comfortable and confident with the material. Our choreography adds an exciting element to the Flash Mob-style performance with simple movements that are made accessible for everyone. Our 2023 Summer Season repertoire includes inspiring arrangements and uplifting lyrics, specifically curated to evoke the feeling of Harmony Emerging As Love. By surprising and delighting our community with harmonious voices and synchronized movements, this choir spreads joy, inspires others, and creates memorable moments of shared connection through the power of music.

HEAL Teen Ensemble
Co-Ed Vocal Ensemble Ages 13-17
HEAL Teen Ensemble is a devotional Christian singing group that is open to all teenagers who have a passion for singing and an interest in exploring sacred music and soulful hymns. Singers of all levels and backgrounds, regardless of their ability to read music are welcome, and practice tracks are provided. In a spiritually nourishing environment, teens are engaged in meaningful rehearsals that include devotional moments, personal check-ins, vocal warm-ups, technique instruction, and the joyful exploration of a repertoire that uplifts the spirit. The shared experience of harmonizing while expressively and authentically connecting with the meaning and the message of each song nurtures our faith and stirs our souls while fostering spiritual growth and a sense of belonging.

HEAL Women
Women's Group 18+
HEAL Women is a prayer group and a sacred singing group that meets 2 Wednesdays in Sebastopol each month year-round. Each meeting includes a devotional study, sharing, and singing together in harmony. The singing portion includes instruction on how to sing the harmonies. This group is for women who are interested in singing sacred text and exploring various styles of devotional singing including holy chanting and some more contemporary arrangements. There is no fee to join this group - Instead, please consider a donation to our partner, Up Street Music Patrons. This is an intimate ensemble and space is limited.

Meet Our Director
Daniella Caveney is the founder of HEAL (Harmony Emerging as Love). She also directs the
Novato Music Association Chorus, is an Associate Teacher with Transcendence Kids, a homeschool mom, a Cantor at St. Anthony's Catholic Parish in Novato, a counselor at Mt. Gilead, a hot yoga instructor at Cotati Moves, and teaches private vocal and piano lessons.
Ms. Caveney studied vocal music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and has performed opera, musical theater, sacred repertoire, jazz, and her original music in the U.S. and abroad. She has directed multiple vocal ensembles in church/spiritual settings, and in public/private schools.
Daniella is passionate about singing as a living prayer, (what we're really doing) while creating music together, and she upholds a standard of joy and connection whilst instilling excellence.
Ms. Caveney grew up in Marin County and is currently based in Sonoma County with a growing family and farm including dogs, bunnies, chickens and a cat!
